
Characteristics
Sea Grapes are known as “Umi-Budou” in Okinawa, with “Umi” meaning sea and “Budou” meaning grape. They are cultivated in various parts of Okinawa Prefecture and sold throughout Japan as a specialty product. Along with mozuku, Sea Grapes are a representative seaweed of Okinawa Prefecture.
